We've taken Twinkle to a whole new level, and most noteably with it's UI. We wanted to make the app both easy to use and have a great aesthetic feel. The Main Menu clearly emphesizes that.
The Main Menu is made up of 6 panels that features all of what Twinkle can do. Just scroll left or right to navigate. Then tap the panel you wish to launch.
The old application wasn't very effcient with handling your friends. So, we rethought how the system should work.
We've kept the old following system and made a few adjustments to it to keep it consistent with Facebook and Twitter.
Instead of scrolling through the endless list of friends you have, you can swipe and see your friends in a grid. Up to 60 people can be displayed on a grid instead of the 6 on the old list. That's a big difference, don't you think?
In the application, two feeds will take all of your attention: the Local Feed, and the Public Feed.
The Local Feed is dedicated to your followers. Anything that happens there - photos of friends, links to awesome songs, spectacular YouTube videos, or other things - will show up in a nice reverse chronological list. Awesome!
The Public Feed behaves differently. Instead of seeing your friends, you'll see updates from everyone in your radius. Just choose how far you'd be comforable to go: 1, 10, 50, 75, 100, 300, 500, or 1,000 miles. But if you're feeling adventerous, you can opt to go Worldwide.
